No. It flags problems to you in its private channel and waits. Warn, Delete message and Timeout happen only when someone on your team clicks the button on a flag card. Kicks and bans happen only when you ask for one in the private channel and then press Confirm. It never pre-blocks messages the way Discord's AutoMod does. See How moderation works.

It watches your members' messages in every channel it can see, except its own private channel, and judges both text and images. It doesn't listen to voice chat. Watching starts when you hire it, not when you install it.

Yes, with Discord's own channel permissions. If Staffd's role can't view a channel, it can't read or judge anything there. There's no separate channel list to manage. Note that it also can't answer @mentions in channels it can't see.

No. It keeps records of flagged messages and moderation actions, not your conversations, and never uses your content to train AI. See Your data and privacy.

Nothing for the first 14 days. After that it's a flat monthly price per server: Starter at $30 (up to 15,000 messages a month), Pro at $80 (up to 75,000) or Scale at $150 (beyond that). The 14 days start when you hire it by picking its name, not when you install it. No card is needed, and every feature is included.

On day 14 it posts a performance review in its private channel: real numbers from its first two weeks, the plan your server fits, and a button to hire it full-time. If you don't, it sends a short reminder, then a last-day note, then says goodbye and goes off the clock. It stays in your server and keeps everything it learned, but stops watching, reporting and welcoming. Run /upgrade whenever you're ready and it comes straight back.

Yes. Staffd does the watching and the first read, around the clock, but a person makes every call. Think of it as the staff member who never misses a message and brings problems to your team, not a replacement for your team.

Yes. It runs independently and doesn't integrate with or control bots like MEE6 or Dyno. It ignores bot messages when moderating, but it can read rules a bot posted in your rules channel. If a bot like that already posts welcome messages, turn one of the two off so new members aren't welcomed twice. See Welcoming new members.

A wrong flag costs one click: press Not a problem and nothing happens to the member. Your employee then offers to stop flagging that kind of thing. If it keeps flagging something your server is fine with, tell it in the private channel ("OOC trash talk is fine here"). It proposes a calibration, and once you confirm, it judges with that in mind. It works the other way too: tell it what it should be catching. It's tuned to stay quiet when unsure, so it will occasionally miss things. See Talking to your employee.

No. Flag cards go only to its private channel, which the server owner and Administrators can see, plus anyone you add to it. Members see something only if your team acts: Warn posts a short reply to the member in the channel where they posted. If a member @mentions it, it won't make rulings about other members in public.

Yes. Add them to the private channel in that channel's settings in Discord. Anyone who can see the channel can use the flag buttons and talk to it there. Members with the Moderate Members permission can also use /history, /warn and /note. See Commands.

There's no language setting, and its own messages (flag cards, reports, command replies) are in English. It reads messages in whatever language your members write and judges them against your rules. If your server doesn't chat in English, check its first flags closely and calibrate it in the private channel if needed.

Yes. It judges images as well as text, against your rules like any other message.

Each server has a monthly reading capacity. As it gets close, it gives you a heads-up in the private channel. If it reaches the limit, it stops reading new messages until the next month starts, and it stops answering @mentions in public channels too. Nothing it has logged is lost, and you can still talk to it in the private channel. See How moderation works.

Yes. Each server gets its own employee, with its own rules, memory, trial and plan. Billing is per server.

Yes. /rename gives it a new name and /avatar gives it a custom picture in your server (run it with no image to reset). Both need the Manage Server permission.

Remove it like any Discord app. To delete its data, the server owner can do that from the dashboard; cancel any active subscription first. See Your data and privacy.
